A tall Finnish stoneware vase from the 1950s, thrown and finished with a matte sage glaze that softens the light rather than reflecting it. The form is organic yet controlled — a vertical presence that works as sculpture even without flowers, and as a vessel when used. Finnish studio ceramics of this period prized material tactility and restrained colour. This example is free of cracks and chips; the glaze is even and the foot clean.
